What I Wished I Told My 15 Year Old Self

She’s still searching and always going to be searching. For adventures. To see more of the world. To seek the good in others. To influence others….

Life is always a confusing state. That everything happens for a reason. Take the rejection that seems so big, make it small, and take it with a grain of salt. Remember more doors open than close.

Always be you, what you want to be, where you want to be. Know it may not end up being what you want and be ok with it. Always be ok with it.

No one is perfect. Keep looking past the flaws and seek the good in everyone.

Bullies are always going to be bullies. It never meant you did anything wrong. They’ll pay for it later.

That some relationships aren’t always meant to be relationships. Some you have to walk away from and leave in the past. Betrayal has its demons. Always keep your chin up along the way.

The mistakes you make may seem so huge are so small today. In fact, it’s the ones you look back on and laugh til you cry because it was that kind of adventure. You will learn from every mistake, look back and smile.

Always ignore the negativity of others. Always be you. Always keep striving in a confusing world. Take those broken wings, fly and aim high. And you will fly higher than you ever did before.

That it’s okay to embrace your disability. You’re doing nothing wrong and fighting for what you want. Keep the naysayers wondering the how, what, when you’re going to fail. They’re the ones failing. It’s totally okay. They’re not you. They don’t know you. Keep doing your shit. Keep going.

You are never going to know where you end up. Let the universe show you the way. Where you want to be may end up being the opposite and that’s ok. And it always is.

Family is never perfect. Dysfunctional at its best is how you’re going to look at it. The past will always kill you but make you stronger today. And you are.

There’s a career you’d never imagine being in.

There’s a better you and always going to be a better you.

I wish she knew that things are where they should be, supposed to be, and will always be ok.
